Our Staff
Rev. Dr. Ken Macklin
Senior Pastor
(360) 452-8971
office@pafumc.org
Despite having ‘retired’ (twice!) since 2015, Pastor Ken brought energy, enthusiasm and deep devotion to our church when he was appointed pastor of FUMC in 2020. He is passionate about teaching and about sharing God’s love with our congregation and community.
Before moving to Washington in 2018, Pastor Ken and his wife Anna lived and raised their family in southern California. Over several decades, he served as senior pastor at a number of United Methodist churches and was a professor at several colleges and universities, primarily focused on the integrating Christian spirituality and psychology. He is an avid reader who enjoys the outdoors, riding his motorcycle and spending time with family.
Debra Self
Director of Nurture
nurture@pafumc.org
Debra Self is the administrator, treasurer and overall coordinator for FUMC. Since moving to Port Angeles in 2008, Debra has held several positions with the church, starting as youth director before transitioning to her administrative roles. Prior to her work at FUMC, Debra managed a large Christian book store in Shoreline, Washington and served as administrator for several clinics in the Seattle area. Deb enjoys time with her family, knitting, and with husband James, embarking on yet another home remodel project.
Abby Bohman
Director of Arts, Media & Culture
outreach@pafumc.org
Born and raised in Port Angeles, Abby grew up as part of the FUMC community and graduated from Port Angeles High School. With a wide variety of interests from dance to the environment, she is passionate about creating community. She enjoys planning events as part of Social Norms and is also involved in organizing monthly Salsa Nights in downtown Port Angeles. On her days off, Abby enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially her baby nephew.
Anthony Rodriguez
Custodian
office@pafumc.org
Raised in California, Anthony moved to Port Angeles in 2014 and graduated from Port Angeles High School in 2015. He’s worked as FUMC’s custodian since August 2018 and enjoys being helpful throughout the church and doing all he can to reach out to the wider public. Anthony enjoys singing, painting — especially rocks, as part of the Port Angeles Rocks group — cooking, and baking. Before coming to FUMC, he put his cooking skills to use in several local restaurants.
